Green jobs are on the rise as more people become aware of the demand for ‘greener’ ..well, everything! There are plenty of green jobs ‘popping up all over,’ as Forbes reporter, Jacquelyn Smith, puts it.
According to her article, “Green jobs are typically thought of as having to do with environmental science and alternative energy sources,” says Sara Sutton Fell, CEO and founder of FlexJobs, “but really, a green job can be any job that is related to environmental sustainability in some way.”
She explains that having a ‘green job’ can just as easily become the reality of every individual, as long as one follows green methods. Smith quotes Fell, “Your actual job may be very typical – accountant, administrative assistant, etc. – but the work that your company does, and that you support through your job, is green-focused.”
